I am the son of European immigrants who came to Canada in the very early 1950’s with only a few dollars in their pockets. Thankfully, my father was a very bright and resourceful fellow who furthered his education upon arrival in Canada and in time worked his way up to running the North American division of a successful international materials management firm.

In 1953 my parents, with my eldest brother in tow, first settled in a small suburb of Montreal known as St. Jean Sur Richelieu. My next eldest brother joined them in 1954 and I came into this world in 1957,…I kind of like it here and I’m hoping to stay a while,….in the world that is.

By the way, did I mention that I have the greatest parents in the world! Unfortunately my dear father passed in March 2008 after a brief but brave bout with cancer. He is deeply missed.

I also have two sons, Jason and Ryan, who now tower over me!

Then, last but definitely not least, is the love of my life, my most wonderful and supportive wife, Kathleen, without whom,…I don’t even want to go there!

In 1969 my folks decided to move just a bit west to Toronto where my eldest brother had gone for school. My days in Toronto began in Mimico. I attended John English for grades 7 and 8 and then attended Mimico High School for Grade 9. We then moved to the Richview / Kingsview Village area where I attended Keiller Mackay C.I. to finish High School. I have lived in West Toronto for most of my life, now having moved back to Mimico after a number of years in High Park / Roncesvalles Village.

Subsequent to High School I apprenticed in Logistics and Customs House Brokerage out of Toronto Airport. I successfully obtained certification by the Canadian Institute of Customs Brokers, later also successfully obtaining certification by the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association. After 26 years in that industry, I took a leap of faith and followed my heart into Real Estate.
